Ok everyone so summer is just around the corner and we all love to throw the odd outdoor BBQ. If you are anything like me I tend to spend most of my time on my terrace once summer hits!
So lets talk about outdoor styling.
You want your space to be both functional and beautiful; think about your lifestyle and how you will most use your space and have that represent your style inside to have a seamless flow to the outdoors.
Many clients find it hard to decide on a lounge setting or a dining setting, if you have the luxury of space I often suggest a small dining and a 3-piece lounge area.
If you only have space for a dining setting consider some folding sun lounges that can be stored away so you can have the practicality of both.
Simple rattan furniture crates a relaxed low maintenance vibe and you can change the look with cushions and accessories. My main tip is to think about the experience you are trying to create and that will help you achieve the right look.
A hot design trend at the moment is outdoor bars, and breakfast bars. These often connect the indoor with the outdoor of a home, but also a great idea for an apartment space with minimal room.
Outdoor lighting plays a major role in a successful space; it can make your outdoor area feel warm and inviting. Don’t be scared to test the indoors out, rugs and ceiling lights, candles and accessories are more commonly used in outdoor spaces now.
Most importantly inject your personality into the space, you want to enjoy this space with family and friends all summer long so now is the time to invest in creating your dream outdoor setting.
We would love to help you get your outdoors ready so you can hit summer like a BOSS!
