As our bathrooms are predominately functional spaces, they are often left by the wayside when it comes to styling – a plethora of beauty products on display does not count! Regardless of whether your bathroom is new and shiny or a little more lived in, a few small and simple additions will ensure this space is just as stylish as the rest of your home.
New Towels - sounds obvious, but being creatures of habit, we often use the same old towel until it’s almost threadbare. Treat yourself to some plush, new towels to cacoon yourself in after a nice long bath or shower. If your bathroom has a neutral colour scheme, you might opt for colourful or patterned towels, although it’s hard to go past classic white to add a sense of spa-like luxury to your bathroom.
Plants - With steam and moisture in the air, your bathroom is the perfect place to add a little greenery. For a low maintenance addition, look for an indoor tropical variety that will thrive in the humidity and indirect light. Watering your plant is as simple as sitting it in the tub or shower!
Stellar Storage - Being one of the smaller rooms in the home, our bathrooms can easily appear disorderly. Ensure you use what storage you have to hide away products and items you don’t wish to display - or bits and pieces that will get in your way when you snooze your alarm and only have 5 minutes to get ready in the morning! Try arranging the toiletries you do use daily on a small tray to keep your vanity top or bath hob clutter free.
A small weaved or wire clothing basket is another valuable bathroom inclusion. Use it to conceal those clothes and towels that haven’t yet made their way to the laundry or at the very least, keep the pile somewhat orderly.
